Feed your soul

Ohho~ tell me why not to love Tumblr. HAHA. Found this entry and thought it's wonderful. So here I am, sharing this piece^^

Prayer 1) “A person whom perfects his abolution, perfects his prayer. When a person perfects his prayer, everything else in his life will be perfect.” [with reference to the words of Imam Shafi’e]

2)
“Take wudhu’ even if you are not required to. Retake abulation each time it is nullified. We should follow the practice of Saidina Bilal r.a.”

3) “Salah
(Solat/Prayer) is a dialogue established with Allah s.w.t”

4) “Salah (Solat/Prayer) is the time when you enter a state of discipline.”

5) “Khusyu’ needs training. It is not immediately God-given.”

6) “The amount of khusyu’ you get during solat shows how much attachment you have to this world.”

7)  ”
You must disattach yourself from worldly matters because it disrupts the communication between the slave and His God.”

8) “
It is worst if your heart looks away from Allah s.w.t during prayer.”
9) “
If there is no ikhlas in your prayer, in the eyes of people, the prayer is valid. However, Allah s.w.t will not accept it and throws it back to you.”

10)
“Look at what you are wearing. If you can’t pray (solat) with what you are wearing. It means you are not covering your awra.”
11) “
If a non-muslim tricks you by saying, ‘you Muslims worship the Kaabah!’. You reply by saying, ‘We only face the kaabah, we don’t worship it. It shows the unity of Muslims with every Muslim facing 1 direction.’”
12) “
Some of us might ask Allah s.w.t, ‘Lift this burden of prayer from me.’ and Allah s.w.t will grant it by making you insane (insane people need not pray). Don’t ever ask for that ah.”

The Muslim Identity/Living Life as a Muslim 1) “Even the things we do everyday, brushing our teeth, eating, sleeping, if we do it with a pure intention for Allah s.w.t, it is also ibadah.”

2)
“Haram is Haram. Don’t Fear people, Fear Allah s.w.t. Don’t follow their way of social interaction. Be firm and follow your own way. If you are worried about your job. Remember. They don’t provide for you. Allah s.w.t provide for you.”

3) “
Intention differs and act of worship from Habit.”

4) “
Belittling a sin itself is a big sin”
5)
“The dunya(world) is like a shadow, run after it and you will never be able to catch it, turn your back against it and it has no choice but to follow you” [based on the words of Ibn Qayyum]

The Quran 1) “What else can be better? When we read the Quran, we practice arabic and at the same time we get reward. Allah s.w.t is very generous. His rewards are great and huge but it’s only us that are not interested.”

2)
“You leave the Quran, Allah s.w.t leaves you.”
3)
“You want your revision to be blessed? Read the Quran!”

4)
“Al-Quran is the manual on how to live your life as blessed as possible.”

Our Duty as Allah s.w.t’s Servant 1)
“Islam is the religion of one who submits to Allah s.w.t’s rule and law. It is the highest honor to be the slave of Allah s.w.t because you are free from everything else. You are only the slave to your Creator. Allah takes care of you and helps you. However, if you chose to be a slave to your own desires, you are worse than animals and you are in the worst state. Your desires don’t promise you anything! and it doesn’t guarantee you anything.”

2)  “Allah s.w.t promised us providence but it is our responsibility to strive for it.”

3) “
Do not, for other things, you strive but for Allah s.w.t, you just do the bare minimum. (ala kadar)”

4) “Especially for those whom Allah s.w.t loves, He will send trials and tribulations to show that His servant is true to Him, to prove that His servant is worthy of His love.”

5) ”The believers (mukminin wa mukminat), no matter what circumstances occur, will still be true to Allah s.w.t.”

6) ”It is not enough to be sincere. We must have both sincerity and dedication. We must be sincerely dedicated to Allah s.w.t. However, there are many in this world who are not sincerely dedicated to Allah s.w.t. but they are sincerely dedicated to the dunya, sincerely dedicated to their desires and sincerely dedicated to shaytan.”

7) “The sign of a person most likely to die Husnul Khatimah (A good death) is he is worried about his relationship with Allah s.w.t and nothing else. However, the sign of a person most likely to die Su’ul Khatimah (A bad death) is he is still worried about his worldly matters when he is about to pass on.”

Our Duty as the follower of Rasulullah s.a.w
1)
“Don’t belittle the sunnah. The sunnah is the ‘Way of Rasulullah s.a.w’. How can you claim to be a follower of Rasulullah s.a.w but you don’t follow what he does?”
2)
“In many things we do, the prophet s.a.w is our example. We should give a lot of selawat because even Allah s.w.t gives selawat to his beloved (s.a.w). Each selawat we give will be mentioned to Rasulullah s.a.w by the angels and he will reply each and every selawat.”

Minor Tasawwuf
1)
“The heart speaks and the tongue translates what is in the heart.”

2)
“Some people have reached the level where they ENJOY reading the Quran, zikir and praying.”

3)
“The tongue is like a criminal. It speaks of things which are unnecessary. Utters words that are not good. We have to learn how to lock it and imprison it in our mouths.”

4)
“The tongue and the heart can be either the 2 worst body parts or the 2 best body parts.”

Seeking Knowledge of the Deen1) “The food for your souls is ‘ilm (knowledge)”

2)
“I don’t mind teaching for free but you all must memorise whatever I teach. Money is not important. What you learn here and you teach others, you will get the reward and I will get the reward also.”
3)
“You have to race to get knowledge.”

4)
“In seeking knowledge, there’ll be trials and tribulations. One of which, Shaytan whispering to you not to go to class.”

5)
“Learning the Essentials of Islam is very important. The essentials is like the base of a house. If it is weak, it can be easily destroyed but if it is strong, no earthquake or flood can destroy it.”

6) ”The disease of knowledge is forgetting.”

7) “You learn knowledge, to let yourself benefit, and also to let others benefit from your knowledge, and to let others to benefit from the knowledge that you have passed on.”

8) ”Don’t say you’ll do it later. It will not happen if you keep saying, ‘later’.”

9) “The body, in order for it to stay healthy and strong, you feed it with food. Everyday you eat on average, 3 meals per day.. If you don’t feed it, say for one whole week, you only eat it once, your body will definitely become weak. But this is your body, this is what you see.. This is the body, that when you die, and you’re buried, it becomes decomposed. The body that you have been taking care of throughout all your life, it decomposes within a few days. What about your soul? The one that’s inside you, the one that lasts forever? How do you feed it? With ilm’ of course, with knowledge and ibadah’. That’s how you feed it. That’s how you take care of it, but this one does not decompose. However, if you don’t feed, your soul becomes weak of course. In a matter of days, it ‘dies’.”
10) “Firstly, before you come to class, correct your intentions. If you want to learn knowledge for you to debate with other people, that is not a good intention.”
11) “You are seeking Allah s.w.t and you are a learner of sacred knowledge. If you are sincere and dedicated, don’t you think Allah s.w.t will accept you and open the doors for you?”

May these knowledge benefit you. Barakallahufeekum. [:
Akhirukalam,
Shaik Nabil
